Acadia Horse Boarding  & Stables - a full-service facility located minutes from Acadia National Park

a subsidiary of WIld Iris Farm, LLC

Acadia National Park's 57 mile carriage road system is on the "bucket list" of many horse owners,  but  where can you board your horse if you visit?  Acadia Horse Boarding is the only full service boarding facility on the island.  Keeping our stalls to a maximum of 10 allows us to give each horse and owner individual attention.  The facility has easy trailer access and free trailer parking.  We are located at Wild Iris Farm, a stone's throw away from the main Park entrance.

Each stall is 12'x12' with an additional attached 12'x12' turnout.  Our stalls are mucked out twice a day and water is refilled frequently. We use pine shavings for bedding, added as needed.

There is a boarder tack room complete with  saddle brackets and bridle hooks.

The barn has a wide center isle with cross-ties for horse grooming.

Boarders have access to wash racks  as well as a 150'x150' outdoor arena.

The farm has 15 acres of pasture which are divided into spacious paddocks surrounded by safe, electrified, braided rope fencing.  Gates are heavy duty steel.  Horses are turned out on fresh pastures daily unless turnout is against owner wishes.

Pastures are frequently harrowed and rotated to reduce parasite infestation and encourage grass growth.
